Current class schedule:
July 31
August 7-28 (class on 8/28 will shift to 3:15-5:15pm)
*This will be an ongoing class more dates TBD. Please email me if you're interested in being on the notification list for classes for future dates or classes in general. Class dates may shift depending on upcoming workshops, travel, etc...all participants will be notified prior to any schedule adjustments.
Location: Virtual format using Zoom. The link will be emailed before the start of each 4-week time block.
Tuition: $160, which includes a block of 4 classes
Using a open project format with your choice of subject matter, I will guide participants on how to start and finish their creations. Participants work on individual projects with my guided instruction throughout our time together. Drawing, watercolor, acrylic, and oil media are all welcome.
Registration: The class size will be limited. Priority for time slots will go to those who sign up for the four sessions. For those looking to do a drop-in session the rate is $45. Please email me if you’d like to drop-in, I will notify you of any days we have openings where the class is not to the maximum number of students. I will have a wait list if we get to the cap for participants and will notify anyone of any openings.
Visit the Class: For those unsure if a online learning format is for them please feel free to email me to set up a day to visit one of the classes for 15-30 minutes. This will allow you to see my instruction and interaction with participants. It would be similar to stopping by an in person studio class.
Missed Classes: If for any reason you need to miss a session email me your artwork and references if needed. I will create a video recording for you to review at your leisure with adjustments/enhancements to make. If the missed class is in the paint along format, I will record the session and email a link allowing you to catch up on your own time. If I need to cancel our session due to illness or any other reason the class will be carried over into the following week so you will not miss out on a session.
What to expect during a session: Using Photoshop as a visual aid during class gives both of us a hands on feel for how to move forward with a piece. Using this method I will draw on your images guiding you step by step with the enhancements/changes that need to be made. I do this while sharing my screen allowing you to see the progression I recommend. Many find it is helpful to have a notebook nearby so you can take notes during this time as we typically cover multiple steps allowing you to work freely until you are ready for more feedback. The image with the suggestions will then be emailed back to the participant to have as a guide. For quick check-ins students can hold their work up to the web camera so I can make suggestions.
